On 24 February 2021, Alan Robert Murray’s family, through a Warner Brothers Sound Executive, confirmed his death. The circumstances surrounding his death were left out. He died in Los Angeles, California, United States of America. He was 66 at the time of his death.
He had been with the Warner Brothers Sound since 1979.
Alan Robert Murray began his career in sound in the mid seventies at Paramount Studios. A statement from a spokesperson at Warner Bros. Studios partly read, “I, along with my Warner Bros. family grieve the loss of our dear friend Alan. His contribution to film sound is unrivalled. He will live in our hearts forever.”
